We have always been proudly South African. From the products we deliver to the places we deliver them. We’re built around the people, cultures and languages that make our country unique. In fact, our name itself can be translated into all 12 of South Africa’s official languages. So, this Heritage Month, we’re celebrating every language by giving our iconic box a local twist. Because no matter how you say “Takealot”, it’s a name that belongs to all of us.
Fun fact about Sesotho: Sesotho is the same language spoken across the borders of South Africa and Lesotho - but the two countries use different writing conventions (orthographies).
